We were glad that we found Montenia’s this weekend. The restaurant has a cool, comfortable vibe which invokes relaxation with a side of toe-tapping jazz music. —Satisfied Customer, Holyoke, MA Montenia's is an experience! Feel good music and feel real good food. The food is not simply southern, it is GOURMET to the senses and made to order from scratch. It was like paradise on our palette. She was so attentive and personable that we made a reservation to come back with family and friends a whole month in advance for latin jazz Sunday! Price for latin jazz night? $15 for the night's featured menu item plus tips and drinks. We had a great time at Montenia's last night. Our group had Gumbo, Ribs and Shrimp. Everything was fresh and wonderful. The gumbo was spicy but not overpowering. The sweet potato pie I had for dessert was lively, I think it must have had orange zest as an ingredient. Get ready to have the best fall off the bone ribs with toe tapping Jazz in the background. Montenia herself is fun to chat with. She makes you feel like you're part of the family. There aren't too many places where I would want to get to know the owner of the restaurant,but when she sits down it completes the meal. Don't forget the sweet potato pie!
